Can a Capsule Builders modular home be custom designed?
Yes. Our collections and signature floor plans are starting points. The final design can be developed around your land, lifestyle, access requirements, future plans and budget.
Where does Capsule Builders build?
We design and deliver modular homes throughout Perth, the South West, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Mid West, Gascoyne, Pilbara and Kimberley, subject to site access and project feasibility.
How long does a modular home take to build?
A typical factory build is approximately 12–16 weeks after the required design, engineering, approvals and selections are complete. Overall project timing also includes planning, building permits, site preparation, transport, installation and final connections.
Do modular homes require council approval?
Yes. Modular homes are permanent buildings and require the applicable planning and building approvals. The requirements depend on the property, local planning scheme, zoning and proposed design.
How accurate is the website pricing?
Website and Capsule Studio™ pricing is indicative and helps establish an early budget. A formal quotation is prepared after the design, specification, site conditions, access, transport, siteworks and service requirements are confirmed.
What is included in specialised transport?
Specialised transport relates to moving the completed home modules to the destination. Route restrictions, escort requirements, module dimensions and site access can affect the final cost.
What is the site-capsule kilometre allowance?
The separate per-kilometre site-capsule amount applies only to selected items such as a porch, deck, alfresco or carport. It is not part of the specialised home-module transport calculation.
Can you build on a sloping or difficult site?
Potentially, yes. Sloping land, battleaxe access, regional locations and restricted sites require early assessment so the building system, footing design, transport and installation method can be selected appropriately.
Are the homes energy efficient?
Homes are developed to meet the applicable energy-efficiency requirements, with orientation, insulation, glazing, shading and ventilation considered as part of the design.
Can the home be designed for bushfire or cyclone conditions?
Yes, where feasible. BAL and wind-region requirements are project-specific and must be confirmed through the relevant reports, engineering and approvals.

Capsule Studio™ is Capsule Builders’ online concept tool. It allows you to enter known site information, explore a layout and develop an indicative building and transport budget before formal design and quotation.
